This week we have been blessed with a wee bit of sunshine, bringing all you summer golfers out the woodwork! The week didn't quite start off that way with Monday morning an absolute toxic combination of heavy rain and cold winds; thankfully it cleared for our Short Game Academy opening day.
On that note we would like to thank everyone that came along, especially all the dignitaries from Lancashire Golf, the Golf Guide and local clubs. European Seniors Tour player Gary Wolstenholme hit some opening shots and gave a short clinic to welcome in the new facilities; Gary is an ambassador for Carus Green but regularly works with Ryan on his game. A lot of hard work from everyone involved went in to making this day a success, the best part of it all was seeing the amount of people practicing their short game in the days since. To use the new facilities just follow the steps below, i have also listed a few membership options for those who may want to become a part of our Academy in the future, or those non-members who would like to come along for the day an use the facilities . Short Game Academy Use:
-You must use the balls we provide when using the chipping green & pitching area.
-You can use your own balls on the green situated next to the first tee
-Sign in at the Shop or in the bar (after 6pm)
-Leave a deposit of £20, a card, or members card in exchange for your tube of balls.
-Return the tube to get your deposit back after your practice
Short Game Day Pass:

A Busy Week
This week saw the 1st president's qualifiers - Gents on Sunday and Ladies on Tuesday. Full results can be found on master scoreboard and the results sheets on the locker rooms noticeboard.
This Sunday is the 2nd Captain's qualifier and by popular demand we will run the pro shop raffle again - £1 to enter and 3 cards will be drawn at random, all monies taken will go back into prizes as pro shop credit. Only stipulation - NO RETURNS DON'T GO INTO THE DRAW.

This Sunday is our first medal of the season and with it comes your chance to win a freebie. Swing Lounge May Special Offers
This Saturday the course is fully booked with a County team match pitting Lancashire against Durham. If you book through the shop you can play 18 holes for ONLY £5 per person. No catches. Simply book in with the Shop before Saturday
Wine & Nine....
Anybody partial to 9 holes and a glass of wine? Why not enjoy a glass of wine and 9 holes for only £7.50 per person. We will book the simulator for up to two hours depending how many of you fancy it. Look out for the posters going up over the weekend and our facebook campaign!
Weekday Offer
