Happy New Year to all! Welcome to the first newsletter of 2017. Can you believe it's been 20 years this year since Tiger won his first Masters, it's been 10 years since I turned Professional and if that isn't scary enough, then i don't know what is? First of all let me wish you a healthy, happy and prosperous 2017, before we crack on into the nitty gritty of this week's newsletter. Please read on today as not only do we have some tasty shop deals available, but we will also be looking into 2017 with what to expect at Clubfit Golf and the start of the new equipment season. But let's start with some more serious news, of that many people will be aware; Mr Done's knee troubles. Ryan will finally be having that knee operation he has been crying out for, but not quite a brand new knee yet. On Monday Ryan will go under the knife to have surgery that is described as a 'knee re-alignment', the simple aim of this type of surgery is to take your body weight off the poor, arthritic side of your knee and pop it onto the other side. I've made it sound simple but in fact this is a very big surgery, with Ryan expected to be out of action for six - eight weeks. I'm sure many of you will join us in wishing Ryan well and in the coming weeks I will give an update on Ryan's progress, including what will hopefully be a weekly blog from the man himself. Below is a few points of interest including questions we are likely to receive on coaching and fittings over the next several weeks. Ryan Done Knee Fact Sheet;
Any lesson vouchers due to expire in the period Ryan is off will be extended, this will also include lesson vouchers expiring on our Winter Packages at the end of March. These will ALL be extended indefinitely.
Lessons and fittings will still be available daily with myself (Trevor), anyone who previously had lessons with Ryan feel free to book, I can liaise with Ryan on your swing and anything you may have worked on in the past.
A major part of Ryan's week is looking after the range, we have some volunteers, but if you can volunteer yourself to help us in the next couple of months with some jobs, please come and see me in the shop.
Ryan will still be available to answer any questions or queries on your golf swing by dropping us an email, Facebook, message or give us a call.
All other aspects are run by myself and Linda, so there shouldn't be any changes or problems with the shop and the club.
New equipment will be arriving as normal, so any fittings will be held with myself. Ryan and I have been training on fitting to give our customers a consistent fit irrelevant of whether it is with myself or Ryan.

Course Update
The course has held up pretty well this winter and fingers crossed the weather continues to stay kind to us. However, can we please ask all our members to help us in looking after the course. The greens are fairly soft in these months so please can you commit to repairing not only your own pitchmarks, but aim to repair at least a couple every green. Dave and his team have done a wonderful job installing new winter tee beds into some of the holes out on the course, please can you help the conditions of these mats by sweeping them forward whilst you are waiting to take your shot. On behalf of the Dave and his team, thank you for your care and understanding.
