Welcome to this week's newsletter. With Trev jetting off again this week (his fifth overseas trip this year) claiming that this is holiday and the Ryder Cup and a lad’s golf trip was "work" it's over to Mrs D to write this week’s newsletter. I hope you enjoy it and I promise I won't mention that I'm running London Marathon next year! |
An eventful evening
I am pleased to report that the Men's Prize Presentation went well, Dez was up at the club on Saturday morning trying to recover three items of lost property with sore ribs due to doing back flips in town at the after party.
Steve Carter lost his hearing aid and Clark Stanley-Jones lost his dignity after this photo was posted on the big screen for all to see. We also had to arrange a restock from the brewery on Saturday, all signs of a good night.

|
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Trevor for all the time he puts into the unofficial awards at the presentation and thanks to you the members for keep passing on the embarrassing photos and stories about your fellow golfers.

Good luck Jack
I’d like to wish Jack Senior well this week at Tour School, a gruelling week over six days with the top 25 gaining full Tour cards. He's already in a good position finishing in the top 30 on the Challenge Tour which gives him at least 12 starts on the main European Tour. His 6th place finish in the final week last week was brilliant and he's probably playing some of the best golf of his career so far. These are a couple of pictures from Tuesday Morning before he left for Spain.

Course Manager update
The pitchmarks after Sunday's Winter League were a disgrace, too many trolleys are also being used by fit and able members.
With everybody walking the same route with trolleys it will soon wear the grass if there is no growth. This will then lead to areas getting muddy and impassable, If members want to keep playing to the normal greens please repair pitchmarks and use a carry bag if you can.
