January isn't always the most enjoyable month, dodgy weather, no money, long dark nights and the Christmas hangover. It's nearly over with however and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Mal Humpage, couldn't quite wait, he got so fed up of January he actually belly flopped into some mud in a hard rage over his previous 17 holes of golf. Poor Mal, someone should tell him January is nearly over.
Despite it being January, we still have a fun Golf Night planned tomorrow from 5:00pm with lessons available for only £5, some whacky challenges and a chance to see our one-night-only floodlit Short Game Area. Plus, clubhouse games on offer, see the section in today's newsletter which shows the timetable of events. Remember, everyone is welcome and all money raised will go towards the club’s renovation of the Spike Bar. We will bring you pictures next week of how the renovation has gone, the work is due to be completed early next week. |

Subtle changes bring success
Ryan has recently been working with Lancaster member Jon Cross on his swing and it was great to hear how last weekend he was -2 gross (off 7 handicap). This goes to show how important lessons can be and this is one of many cases where golfers have drastically improved their golf with a few simple changes.
If you fancy coming as group like the ladies pictured below, we can structure a lesson bespoke to your group, it can be a more fun and varied way to learn. You can use the link to message us your request for a more bespoke golf lesson, or shortly you can use our online booking system found at www.clubfitgolf.co.uk.

Coming soon: Callaway Epic Flash This time two years ago, we were sitting here in fascination as Callaway introduced Jailbreak Technology for the very first time. Safe to say that the Epic driver was exactly that - epic - and produced major distance gains for the majority of golfers who were custom fitted for one.
Fast forward to now and Callaway is bringing Epic Flash to market, which they say has a 'radically different face design' that will promote faster ball speeds and, in turn, greater distance.

The last thing anyone wants is to purchase a new set of irons, only to struggle massively when they take to the course with their friends a few days later. Sound familiar? Well, with lots of new products about to land in-store for 2019, here are a few iron models that we recommend having a custom fitting for... |
The M5 and M6 irons from TaylorMade are designed for explosive distance, thanks mainly to the innovative Speed Bridge structure that helps stiffen the clubhead to generate higher ball speeds - visible technology that you can see in the images above. The M6 is designed for maximum forgiveness - something that we can all benefit from - whereas the M5 is suited to the better player who is looking for more distance without sacrificing control.
Hopefully, you have an idea of which iron you'd like to put in your bag, but it's not until you come and visit us for an enjoyable custom fitting that you'll know which iron and shaft combination performs best for you. We're here to help you play better golf. |
