The boys have departed at 5.30am this morning to Portugal so it's down to Mrs D to write this week’s newsletter. Who will be victorious? Team Europe Captained by Ryan or Team USA Captained by Trevor. I'm sure Ryan's 20 minutes practice in the Swing Lounge on Thursday will make all the difference, as he uses his new Cobra clubs for the first time, actually the first time he has taken his clubs on this annual golfing pilgrimage. All to play for on the last day when Ryan and Trevor play each other in the singles, I’m sure Trevor will give you all the details in next week’s newsletter (unless he loses). |

As many of you will know I am in marathon training, with only 6 weeks to go until London Marathon I will keep you updated with my last few weeks of training, starting this week later in the newsletter.
Enjoy this week's read.

Storm Gareth
With the downpours and gales consistent since the weekend, unfortunately the course and driving range have had to remain closed. We have been very lucky with the weather over the winter but have had more rain in the past two weeks than the whole of January and February. Fingers crossed, Storm Gareth moves away quickly and normal spring weather can resume. We will keep you updated on our Facebook page of any restrictions. However, all trolleys and buggies will be off until it is fit to allow them.

Huge changes in the Teaching Studio
Last week saw changes in the teaching studio, with Ryan assisting Ian Rowe the new slat wall has been installed to give the studio a slicker look. Thanks also to Anthony Palmer who came to the driving range, popped his head round the door and was roped into assisting. |

Linda's road to the marathon
I started my plan on Monday, 31 December with 10 weeks down, six to go, the next couple of weeks is when the long runs start, with a final 22 miles on Friday, 5 April. This Sunday I will be taking part in a local race, Trimpell 20 miles. Starting at 11:00am from 315 Gym Lancaster, the route follows the cycle track from Trimpell to Bull Beck, it would be great to see any supporters along the way, especially with jelly babies. I was also lucky to obtain a ballot place but I have chosen to support Parkinson's UK, to celebrate my Dad's, Malcolm Hall (80th) birthday on Wednesday, 1 May. I will have a sponsor form in the shop or any donations can be made via my virgin giving page HERE. Thank you for your support.

Motocaddy has always been at the forefront of trolley innovation, with the world's first GPS electric trolley amongst their ranks. Well, this year they’ve made some significant upgrades to the immensly popular S1 model, which we think you're going to love. |
| New Motocaddy S1 electric trolley (2019) |
|
We don't like using the term 'entry level' to describe the new S1 as it offers so much more than what this suggests. At first glance, you'll take a liking to its modernised styling and graphics, which will really help make it stand out from other trolleys on the market. Then you get to its technology: new and improved sunlight-friendly LCD display, nine speed settings, advanced battery meter so you needn't worry about it running out mid-round without knowing, and a super-lightweight Lithium battery to name but a few. The new S1 for 2019 is as good as it gets at this price point, so pop in-store to take a look and get one in your hands. |
