A word from the coach
I might as well get it out the way as Trev mentioned it above... I had a little accident outside the shop on Tuesday Morning. Walking out the shop I caught my heel on the bottom step and took a monumental stumble forward, a bit embarrassing! I've managed to fracture my elbow and a bit of ligament damage to my wrist. Self-employment has meant I am back in action teaching today, in pain but soldiering on! Despite that I have had a right mix of players in the past 2 weeks from European Tour players, Senior Tour players to absolute beginners; it’s ace! That includes HGC member Jack Wilson, one of the hardest working and fast-improving golfers at the club who I fitted for some new TaylorMade P760 irons this past week. I am looking forward to seeing these in Jack's hands where he can improve his game even further! A couple of mentions, first to Jack who followed a good week in Abu Dhabi with a T17th finish in Saudi, the fireworks all happening in his final round with one of the best rounds of the day moving him up the field! He is now 25th in the Race to Dubai, hopefully, a position he can stay in throughout the season. He now takes 3 weeks off before 4 events on the spin in Oman, Qatar, India and Kenya! Another mention to my 2 lads for all their help on the Range in the past couple of weeks, the wet weather has meant we continue to handpick but these 2 have put in extra time this week to cover for me being crocked! Also to Mrs D for looking after me, helping me put my socks on and even though she does shout at me, she does look after me; Thanks, Darling! I will still be teaching so make sure you get booked in and with Valentine’s Day approaching maybe treat your loved one to a lesson or 2! The Perfect way to say I Love You!
