Comptetition results We have had another exciting week of competitions here at Heysham with some horrendous weather across the weekend causing havoc amongst our men's and ladies events. Last Wednesday in the Third Medal there were 21 golfers who broke par, with Ronnie Webster the lowest with a 63 nett. He just pipped Adi Lockhart by a shot, and his 65 gross is the lowest of 2020 so far, by far! We saw plenty of other impressive scores and that means the Clayton Trophy Qualifying is hotting up! Well done also to Martin Neave for his 65 and John Corless Jnr, both winning their respective divisions. John benefiting from some lessons in 2020 from Mr. Done. On Saturday we had our Walter Smith Single Stableford event, 40 points was enough for the re-joining Jack Huntington to pip Colin Shepered to the title. The conditions weren't perfect and there was some good scores, including young Tom Rogerson! In the ladies Jean Copley Memorial Trophy, the ladies also battled the conditions! No surprise with our two young outstanding girls, that they led the field again! This time Jess Parker coming out on top as winner. On Sunday in horrendous conditions, there were still a decent amount that decided to go for it and play! Unbelievably Niall Arthurs broke par to his handicap, the only person to do so on the day! Nick Gilmour the other great score with 70, that winning division three by a mile. Andy Tomlinson won the second division with a solid 74, the equivalent of par on the day. Raffle Results:
