Hello Golfers,

This week's newsletter is packed full of useful topics to help you get the most from your game. We'd encourage you to watch our Video of the Week, which will answer any questions you may have about getting fitted for new clubs.

You can also check out some pictures from our Junior Coaching return, getting back to what we do best at Heysham and that is bring the youngsters through. The philosophy is getting back to the earlier years, pushing the youngsters to become the best they can be, at Heysham and as HGC members! All newbies welcome, read on for more info!

This week we have also reduced tons of clothing in store, so make sure you grab yourself a bargain; items will go quickly! Especially when it's going to be busy this weekend at the 2020 Pro-Am-Am. Make sure you are all bright & early to get booked in before you play; once again Tony Johnson has done an incredible job organising this event so a special mention to him won't go a miss!

Lastly, why not take part in our guess who game? With masks now mandatory in all retail stores like our Pro Shop, we thought we would have a bit of fun! Remember to slip your mask on when visiting our store, it's not too difficult and you can be like our mystery man...who is he?

Club news

A Round up at HGC

Last Friday HGC had it's Luney League Day Out at Carlisle; once again excellent organisational skills from Tony Johnson! Well done to Paul 'podge' Rogerson for winning the Shield, and well done to everyone for avoiding 'the bus', apart from a select few, of which was a dad & lad combo, Steve and Jason Hamblett!

On Saturday the Trimpell Tassie was nearly defended by Clark Stanley-Jones and Dan McCamley, unluckily missing out on a card play-off to Kev Helme & Jim Miller!

On Sunday the 12th Medal of the season was held with some strong scoring! Lee Tomlinson sneaking past Andrew Hegarty to win division 1 with a 66 nett. Steve Fisher with his lesson with Ryan proving to be masterstroke, winning division 2. As well as Ray Sumner, his division 3 win was hopefully down to his chipping after a recent session with myself ( Trevor)

Junior Coaching Returns 

Our junior coaching continues on Saturday 29th August at 9am. The 1-hour session will be £5 payable on arrival, all are welcome and currently the reccomended ages are below 11. We aim to move into 2 x groups in the close future, so keep your eyes peeled!

All new juniors are welcome to come to our academy coaching where we hope to find the next Jack Senior! You don't have to be a member to join in!

It's great to see

Golf is going through a great period at the moment with lots of people taking the chance to play. One thing you'll notice is the number of golfers using an electric trolley to carry their clubs around the course, so we thought we'd highlight a couple of our favourites in this week's email.
