This week has been strange with sightings of a weird yellow thing floating around in the sky and no it's not one of Jim Clelland's yellow Pinnacles, but actually the sun! This weekend sees a couple of Opens with a Mixed Open team event today followed by a Men's Open Team event tomorrow! Still a few afternoon spaces left for that, you can book quickly via BRS here. Sunday completes a weekend of competitions with our fourth medal, look out for my write up on Facebook on Monday, after a busy week I've missed the chance to take the mick out of a few, but be warned!

Father's Day

Don't forget Dads, its Father's Day next week and we know you all so well. So send your loved ones in and we will direct them to a nice shirt, some balls, a new club or maybe an electric trolley. This is your chance to get a cool Father's Day present off those pesky kids!

Jack Senior Watch

A week off for the Bear this week before a huge few weeks which could very easily shape his season. Last week in Switzerland was four rounds of mixed fortunes, as a first round lead slipped away to a 37th placed finish. Rounds of 66, 70, 72 and74 demonstrate a deterioration in play, but having words with Jack he expressed his annoyance at his play all week. A bout of the 'lefts' caused a few unwelcome high scores. That being said a top 40 finish and a round one lead when not at your best shows the standard of golf Jack is currently playing at. Look out for him next week in France.

Well done to Scott Lee and Rick Kirkman for winning the Pearce Smith & R.B Lee Trophies last weekend, 36 holes of battling the elements despite a much better day on Sunday.

Other notable news from the weekend saw Josh Corless get his driver back after he binned it up a tree on the 6th tee. His head is still missing however. Great to see some other good scores, Dean Bould won an event at Morecambe with a 62 nett days after his putter fitting with Ryan. Greg Anderson's impressive 73 in horrendous conditions on Saturday was awesome to see after he recently got fitted for Cleveland irons. Keep up the good work guys!
