Jack Senior Watch
Jack has driven down to France this week to take part in the La Vaudreuil Challenge after his T21st finish last week in Tenerife. Having had a quick chat to Jack it seemed he struggled a little bit over the weekend and his swing went slightly array; on his birthday as well! However, Jack made sure to pop into see Ryan for a quick tune up before driving to France and after a few tweaks he was raring to go. Click here to follow his week.
As I write this he will be taking part in the Pro-Am before the first round on Thursday. Let this be a lesson to anyone that no matter how good you are, it can always benefit you having a lesson with Ryan or myself for a tweak or if you require major surgery!

Pro's Day
We hope everyone had a great day in our Pro's Trophy competition held on Sunday, around 75 pairs took part and once again on behalf of us all at Clubfit Golf we thank you for your support and custom. The winners on the day was local wannabe playboy Pete Smith and his red nosed son Rob, 43 points was enough on the day to knock pinhead Dez Martinez and retired power station worker Nick Holmes into second with 42. Grizzly Adams and his son Richard Gardner came in third. Matty Bargh won our putting competition with 14 putts to take home a brand new TaylorMade putter. On the 10th tee we had our FlightScope set up which captured some shockers, including a fresh air shot, but with two bad shots from an ex-scratch champion John Hargreaves being the pick of the worst. Nick Holmes' 322 yard effort was longest and Julian Nash hit it 10cm off line for the straightest. Lee Tomlinson picked up the nearest the pin prize.
Team News
Congratulations to our Diamond Trophy team as they triumphed in the annual team event held at Heysham Golf Club. Next up in the team events is the Clayton Trophy on Saturday, 8 August. Special thanks to Stuart Bradley for sponsoring the event on Saturday. This year the Clayton Trophy team will be wearing the Ghost Tour polo from Callaway which can be pre-ordered for everyone supporting on the day. The cost will be £29.99 and that includes the shirt being fully logo'd. Extra personalisation can be added for only £3.
Open Championship Draw
With more charisma in Arthur Nuttall's sock drawer I was a bit disappointed to see Zach Johnson triumph in the 144th Open Championship at St Andrews but nevertheless his victory meant the same for Craig Cullen. Craig won our Limited edition Tour bag from Callaway. Dan McCamley and Andy Entwistle shared second place as did Louis and Mark after the play off with Zach, both winning a dozen Pro V1 balls. Best Amateur was won by Mitchell Wilson who gets a dozen Srixon balls for Jordan Neibrugger (close enough) and last place after 36 holes was Tony O'Sullivan for Scotsman Gary Boyd; he gets a dozen Supersoft balls.
