This week we had a first at Heysham Golf Club as our spectacular course was filmed by aerial golf caddy. Using a drone the course was filmed not only from high above the links but also hole by hole to give a new view to the shape of each hole. The footage will be used to go on an app that can be downloaded in the future for visitors (and members if they like) to use when coming to play Heysham. If you go on our Twitter feed you will catch a couple of pictures from up above early Tuesday morning. Keep an eye out for more on this cool unique feature to Heysham.
Jack Senior News
Jack is in Switzerland this week in the limited field Rolex Trophy. Unfortunately Jack is struggling with a small back problem, but all is not lost in an event that promises even €2,500 for a last place finish. Jack is still in prime position to get himself onto the main tour in 2016. As always follow his progress on www.europeantour.com.
Competition News
Congratulations to Ian Gardner who became the Tony Dent Trophy Winner for 2015 in the 36 hole event last weekend. Check out our report through our Facebook page in which we hold no punches in our mischievous commentary. The weekend also saw some great scores from many, Josh a Corless providing a wonderful 67 gross and some great scores from Steve Howley amongst others. Lucas and Curtis Done represented Lancashire this week in a match against Cheshire, making their mum and dad proud. We are in the process of trying to find out if they may be the first twins to represent the county side.
