After a 2-week stint in Tenerife, Jack returned to British shores in the early hours of Monday morning. A day at home was then followed by a full day of practice, slightly hindered by the weather at the midlands resort. Ryan there for 2 days had this to say on his week.
Had a good two days at The Belfry with Jack Senior at the British Masters currently out on the course in his 1st Round just struggling a little at the moment with club selection into greens the winds swirling around but the fightback will come!!! He’s plus one after the harder front 8 holes. It’s been great standing alongside some of Europe’s finest players and witnessing the effort and commitment these guys put in day in, day out.
The course looks great and is playing so much longer than the last time I was down here. The rough around the greens is brutal in places and a shot 3 foot off the green could literally be buried. It's thick, juicy stuff and I don't expect the scoring to go anywhere near as low as previous weeks. I am back home tonight then in the teaching studio Thursday and over the weekend.
Our junior academy is thriving and now got 3 groups this Saturday, an expansion on our 2 groups; it's been great for me and Trevor to see improvements in such a short period of time. I am going to be doing short game skills this weekend.
