If you have been up at the club this past few days you will have seen the boys hard at work cutting some trees down near the Driving Range. Initially, this to allow a WiFi signal to get down to the range for security reasons, but it also opens the area showcasing the facilities we have on offer to the wider golfing public.

Long-term, plans will hopefully move forward where a dyke will run down the left-hand side of 18 connecting the dyke that is on the left hand side of the range. This would then connect in the area cleared with a view to a longer-term plan of extending this into a water feature nearer the green. In my opinion, this would look great as I am a big fan of golf courses with features on holes that can offer a wow factor. Think how good the 18th green complex would look with the 10th tee in the background and lovely water feature with a fountain to the left, that may be something the club can think about!

Further out on the golf course the irrigation work is underway and as a reminder, it will cause some disruption, but we hope this will be kept to a minimum. It will impact the range though over the next several days, so please keep an eye on the website for updates.
