Will moves on
Will Thomson leaves our greens team this week to pursue a role closer to home, working at Wigan Athletic. Will has been a member of the team for the past 6 years and before that was a junior at the club. Some may also remember his dad Gav, who was Captain of the club during that time. Will has been a highly valued member of the team here at Heysham and will be sorely missed. I'm sure I speak on behalf of all the staff & members here at Heysham in wishing Will the best of luck for his future role.
Tee re-levelling programme
You may have seen on our social media channels the new mats in places on some of our par 3's over the past week and further to that the team are now commencing with their tee re-levelling programme. The first bit of work has been on the 16th tee which amazingly you can see from the picture had a huge amount of difference from front-to-back. The work is much more invasive and time consuming than you think so if the weather allows they will continue onto the 5th tee before tackling the middle tee's on 14. These are the 'stepped' tees where the ladies summer tee can be found. When this is complete it will allow for more options through all 12 months of the year when it comes to tee placement.
