News Around the Club | Last board comp of 2025 is complete

Competitions News

It's officially the winter season as last week saw the last board competition to be competed in for 2025. The list is complete, trophies ready to be presented next Friday at the presentation evening. Terry Hallam & Dave Walsh delivered in an incredibly difficult format to become the official winners on 37 points. A mixture of conditions and foursomes format meant for a low scoring affair as they won by a single point to Dave Grime & Matt Nolan. Highlighting the weather and format was the score of third place; 34 points from Chris Blease & Oli Howarth. 

We move onto Sunday the first winter league of the season which means about 25 to go! As always winter league money is paid on following the end of the season. All syndicate money will be compiled together and split how you request, this will include all 2's money as well. A new feature we are going to test for the winter season is a weekly raffle, the same as we run in summer events. The price will stay as £1 per person and the split of the prize pot will be shared in your pair or team. This will be optional, when signing in just let us know if you choose to enter or not.

Range News (reminder)

As we enter the winter the green staff will begin to hand collect the balls on the driving range so it will mean restricting the amount of balls per person to help keep it open. Starting immediately when buying a token it will be restricted to 50 balls. The range isn't big and we want to allow our members & local golfers to still be able to practice.
